Poor Bastard Shane:

My name is Shane Rinaldo. I live in Griffith in rural NSW and I have a green XG Falcon Ute called "Dirty Dancin'".
I' m in the process of RE-doin' it up. I bought it about 9 months ago and it ws a plain longreach 'S' Pack. I made myself a Bullbar, a Roll Bar and a set of Side Skirts.

I got sick of these, so I sold them all and have made new Skirts and a new 3" pipe, 200mm Alloy Bullbar. When I put the new checker plate Side Skirts on, I put green clearance lights down each sideand used an illuminated switch. This switch had to be earthed so I used a techscrew to hold the wire onto a bracket on the steering collumn. After driving to my mates house, Dirty Dancin' wouldn't start again so we towed it to a mechanic to see what was wrong. He rang me up to say it had blown the battery and 2 fusable links. He replaced them and gave me back my ute. The next day Dirty Dancin' wouldn't start again so we took it back. A few hours later, the mechanic rang me and told me that the techscrew in the steering collumn had gone through the ignition wires and blown everything.

This stupid mistake cost me $380!
