This is my customized Datsun which I have been working on for about 18 months. It went like a dream when I got it finally going, as it had a TM 1 psi Electric Supercharger 15 more horsepower than the original 4 cylinder motor.
The first day that we went for a drive around our little country town of Haddon I took my son Mick for a drive. We got it up to 180k/h when we saw a roo hopping across the road. Mick yelled out "Watch out Daddy". I braked and the roo froze when it saw us. We got too close and I swerved the Ute. The back wheel started to lift then I felt myself rolling. I think it was 3 or 4 times, when we finally stopped I checked Mick and he was conscious but he had a cricket bat in the back seat and it hit him on the forehead. Because it was sitting in the shed not going the car wasn't insured.
Now that's what I call a poor bastard, Mick was ok in the end other than an obsession with cricket.
