Poor Bastard Mechanic:

G'day
My story didn't happen to me but to our mechanic in town. He had a mint condition XR8 with only about 30,000K's on the clock, which he was trying to sell. He got a few offers but none of them were good enough, so he held on to it for the time being. Shortly after, he was enjoying a few ales in the pub when it came time to drive home at closing time. He hopped in his ute, and decided to smoke up the tyres just outside the pub to put on a good show for the boys. Unfortunately he'd had a few too many, and managed to slam the ute into a power pole on the side of the road. Most people would stop, but he kept the boot in, and proceeded to hit the power pole on the other side of the road. Still going, he went back over to the first side of the road and hit his third and last power pole. Cops came along, gave him the bad word, and his night was over. End result-6 months suspended licence, no insurance, and $20,000 damage to his ute.
